I wish just reading this book was enough to make me lose weight!!! It's a very easy to read explanation of the science behind a very low calorie (low carb but not low fat) diet and how it can really help your blood sugar levels. There are also same great recipes included as well as exercise tips.

It's surely a great read for somebody who want to loose weight effectively and wants to control the blood sugar problems. The author backs up his theory with substantial amount of data and empirical reasoning. It can really be a game changer for transforming lives.

I don't have diabetes or a blood sugar problem and bought this book purely out of interest after reading a recent article about this author/doctor's work in The Daily Mail.

Apparently if you starve yourself, you will lose weight. No s### Sherlock. But Michael Mosley manages to make the obvious interesting.

Short and sweet - or not sweet at all actually, very diabetic friendly with plenty of reminders that some people's feet do get amputated. It felt like it ended too quick but it was clear and actually there was no need for it to be longer he really did cover the science, his background and the diet premise as well as case studies. I read this out of interest more than anything but I have a particular fear of amputation now so I may give this a go soon.
