Another very good book from Jennifer L. Armentrout. I think it's safe to say that she is surely becoming one of my favorites authors.
I got totally stuck in the story from the start to the end and it was impossible to put it down. The evolution of Cam and Avery relationship felt really realistic and well-paced which is a huge positive point for me. The characters were also all very likeable and, of course, Cam is totally swoon-worthy. I totally wish a guy like Cam lived next to my appartment and came on Sunday morning to make breakfast !
I highly recommend to read this book, you won't be disappointed.

Could they be any cuter? Honestly, Cam and Avery were adorable. Maybe it's because I haven't read a new adult romance book in a while, so now I''m just a sucker for everything, but I really enjoyed their dynamics.

Avery is this at-first timid freshman just trying to escape her past. Cam is that charming junior in college who doesn't exist in real life (or at least at my college). It's pretty easy to understand what Avery is running away from and I feel like Lynn beat around the bush with that even though everyone already knew. In addressing Avery's bitchiness, I get where she's coming from, so I didn't think she was overly bitchy. Avery's not used to receiving love, affection, and care from someone. Of course she'd be cautious in taking Cam's care. Of course she's going to try and push him away because she's scared. Was she a bitch? Sure, but I thought she was entitled to it just because of where she's coming from.

Cameron... Where are you in my life? He's adorable. Making eggs and breakfast for Avery every Sunday? Their overall interaction was very cute.
SpoilerI didn't think it was bitchy at all that Avery kept turning him down for a first date. It became an inside joke between them and the fact that Avery was also laughing when she "rejected" him made it seem as though she was interested. So I don't think that's fair to say she was a bitch.
I don't know how there can be a number two unless it's a different couple Lynn is focusing on. Overall, I liked this book. However, like all books, it's unrealistic and probably won't happen to every college girl on campus. so try not to get all dreamy for a Cam!

I always love Ms. Armentrout's stories and this one is definitely another hit. Cam was totally swoon worthy. It seems like when a player finally finds the right girl they actually do commit. He was the most persistent hero, check this out...

“Well, to be honest, I was planning to woo you with my banana nut bread, but that shit ain’t happening now. So all I have left is my delicious eggs.” I took a bite of the cheesy goodness. “It is really good, but you’re not wooing me.” “Oh, I’m wooing.” He opened up the fridge and grabbed a bottle of OJ. Pouring two glasses, he sat one in front of me. “It’s just all about the stealth. You don’t realize it yet.”

Oh, Cam, you give great woo! Avery turned him down for two months, but no one could withstand the woo onslaught!

The story was four stars, but there was so many spelling mistakes that I got distracted by them. I wonder what happened during the editing process? None of her other books had an issue like that, so hence the 3 star rating.

I DNF'd this book at the 80% mark. I know I should finish it but I can not continue. I am not a fan of the main character Avery. I understand why she is pushing him away at the beginning but when he found her scars, I did not like her reaction. I have never been through the situation that she had gone through so I can't speak from experience and I can't judge Avery for her reaction. This whole premise just was not for me.

I do not like books where the main character is keeping something from her love interest until the very last portion of the book. It makes me anxious when I read the book and for this book I wasn't anxious but slightly annoyed that she let it go on for that long. I can understand why but it felt kinda unnecessary for it to go on until the end.

I also wan not a big fan of Cameron, he felt really arrogant and kinda pushy to me. She denied to go on a date with him multiple times but he still kept on pushing, saying that he'll 'wear her down'. In my opinion that is not romantic. Even if she does want you, if she says no respect her decision and then move on.

All in all I gave this book 2 stars ✨. It was not my style at all.
