Probably more of a 3.5. Definitely recommend for fans of these tropes.
First, the IT calls scene was incredibly relatable, and it probably was the thing that made me keep reading this book.
I wasn't really sure about this book since I'm not a huge fan of mafia/billionaire tropes and supreme alpha-hole MMCs. However, Izzy is now one of my favorite FMCs. She is "feisty", but her emotional journey was like a mirror for myself and my other friends and a window for understanding a struggle that I haven't endured.
What ultimately won me over to Cade in the end were the little love gestures. The candy canes

In one word, I can summarize this book: PASSION. There’s no better way to describe this story, it’s intense, gripping, and utterly unputdownable.
Cade, the head of cybersecurity for the government and private companies, is the ultimate bad boy. With tattoos and a brooding demeanor (and maybe a piercing), he is as dangerous as he is brilliant.
Izzy, on the other hand, is fire personified. A brilliant data analyst and recovered addict, she doesn’t take shït from anyone, especially not Cade. She hs fiercely independent, unapologetic, and determined to stand her grounds even when sparks fly (and boy, do they fly).
The audiobook narration by Rose Dioro and Antonio Amato is a dual performance

This book is aptly titled as it is absolute chaos. There’s a scene early in the story where the heroine, Izzy, is dressed as Harley Quinn. It seemed very fitting as Izzy and Caden have a very manic, crazed relationship.

This story wasn’t a good fit for me, but if those are things you’re looking for in romance, you may enjoy this one.

Um this man said he could fight and the little Bronx hoochie resurrected inside of me. Cade is that man! I loved the constant tug of war between Cade and Izzy. I was living for the drama and the toxic ass behavior these two were brewing up.
