I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series
Personally, I liked the first book better, but its because I related to it more. I love the representations in this whole series. Cannot wait to get the third book.

2.5 Stars.
Very average, not enough emotional depth for me in regards to their love for one another. Too much smut, not enough romance. Can’t believe I would say that but here I am saying it.

What a ride! I’m actually shocked that I really enjoyed this book. Cade and Izzy’s relationship was toxic and explosive. They didn't start their relationship on the right foot but the tension and chemistry between them was pure perfection. They weren’t perfect but they’re for each other.
Izzy is a recovering addict who is an amazing hacker, sassy, strong willed, and also works for Cade.
Cade is HOT, intimidating, and a billionaire tech mogul who has ties to the mob.

Cade!!! This was a real man. I love how he didn’t care how unhinged Lizzy was. He wanted her exactly how she was and he didn’t coddle her. He pushes her and makes her find her true self and let go. He did not want her wrapped up in some beautiful bow he wanted the messy, the neat, he just wants her free and happy. The way he loved her, ravaged her, and took care of her!!!!!! Everyone deserves a Cade !!!
This is my favorite book of the year so far.
It had everything that I look for:
The tropes - enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine, boss x employee, mafia romance! Like could you get any better... Oh yeah and One bed trope with forced proximity!! My dream tropes all wrapped into one.
The plot - It was sex heavy from the start, which i loved because it was written to perfection. The romance and developing feelings was a little slow burn but not extreme which I personally love. Then you had the mafia plot, interwoven with a work team building retreat. So beautifully paced. Not a single lull in the plot and writing. I was always 100% gripped. I read it in a single sitting, only stopping to eat.
The characters - the depth the MC had was amazing to me. There was a lot of mental health threads thrown about and TW there was talk of suicide. The banter Izzy had with everyone, from her family group texts (which were hilarious) to her work collegues but most importantly Cade. I felt like they had the perfect hate to love where he never really hated her at all and she just assumed he did. They had so much in common and a bond deeper than just love and sex which i adored. And the respect they held for each other was what made me love them even more, they both just idolised the other while not letting them take each others crap.
Honestly i know this is rambly but i don't even feel like i have words to describe how much i love this.
Its the first time im reading from Shain Rose but I already want more!
Instant 5 stars, you need to read this!

Cade a billionaire hacker who works for the government and he would prefer to work alone. His family has mob ties and he isn’t afraid of anyone and he intimidates anyone who stands in his way. That is until he met Izzy.
Izzy is brilliant in what she does but she feels no one gives her a chance and she must always prove herself over and over again.
Izzy has known Cade since she did undercover work and now he is her boss. She can’t stand the arrogant, hotheaded, antisocial boss. What could happen when he is told that he must work on a project with her?
I couldn’t put this book down and was reading it every chance I could. I hope the others in this series is just as good.

This book cover is gorgeous and really what drew me in. I have not read any of Shain Rose's other works before, so I am not sure if how I feel about this book is standard writing for her or if the book is just aptly named?
It was just a lot. It was very chaotic and there was a lot of stuff. A lot of fluff that I feel like at the end of the story wasn't really necessary. But like I said, maybe that's why the book name has chaos in it. There were no really glaring issues, the pace moved along nicely. I didn't find the characters to be enjoyable but that's a personal issue and not due to the authors imagining. Initially I was set to DNF it at about 40% because I just couldn't connect. But after talking it over with a friend I still had so many unanswered questions that I decided to jump back in and finish it. If you like action and suspense and an alpha hole MMC and a messy chaotic FMC then you will love this book!
