30..

The same predicaments Rose gets herself into are repetitive but each different.. If you don't like repetitive this series may not be the one for you.. I personally love this series

This is the third book to the Rose Gardner Mysteries by Denise Grover Swank. This series keeps getting better and better! This book starts out with the opening of Rose and Violets new nursery – The Gardner Sister’s Nursery. At the opening of the nursery comes their first big client – Jonah Pruitt, who’s the new televangelist in Henryetta. With the help of Bruce Wayne and David, Rose makes the new church look spectacular, which is good for business. Along with the opening of the nursery, some suspicious things start happening around Henryetta, specifically the passing of two elderly ladies, who had their A/C’s turned off and window’s closed in the middle of a record high heat wave. Rose sees this as strange and starts investigating, thinking it all links up with the new televangelist. It does, but not in the way you suspect!
Along with this, Joe is on an undercover mission and can’t talk to him as much as she’d like. So she starts to become friends with Mason. She finds out that Mason and Joe had a history back in Little Rock, and she’s desperate to find out what happened. Joe tells her, and she feels bad for both of the men involved. In finding out what happened, she gets closer to Mason. Joe’s parents are also getting on him more about meeting Rose, much to both of their dismay. As I said, this series keeps getting better and better! I will warn you, I’ve just read this series for the third time, and I still needed tissues for the ending of this one, so be prepared!

*Re-read*

Okay, so we’re getting into it a little now. Rose continues her collection of misfits. We get to know Bruce Wayne more. We meet Jonah (who confuses me at first as a character, but I know I like their friendship layer on - just a weird tidbit as a re-reader).

Obviously some character opinions turn here. Joe starts to show a little bit of his cracks. He gets a little controlling, possessive and for sure jealous. But even worse is Violet. I always thought it was nice that Rose had a sitter who cared so much (even if it seemed her caring was a bit much in the first few books). But Rose is so sweet and broken from her childhood, that I thought it nice for her to have Violet. But this is where you can really see her personality turn…and I do not like it. That’s for sure.

Overall, a solid book with a great mystery. Helpful to build the world, but not my favorite by any means.

Once I realized there were more books in the Rose Gardner series, I honestly couldn’t read them fast enough! And I have read each of the books at least three times.
In this third book, I enjoyed getting to know Bruce Wayne a little more. It must be said that as the book progressed I became super disappointed in Joe and in Rose's sister, Violet.

I feel like the author was pushing us towards another guy for this entire book. And I'm not really complaining, because I started to have doubts about joe. I still don't know how I feel after that ending.

Poor Rose. This time she wasn't looking for trouble, but it definitely found her, as it always seems to do. But this time Miss Mildred was actually "decent." I feel the nursery is going to do amazingly! And Bruce Wayne gets a chance to prove how thankful he is to Rose. All in all it was quite the page turner!

Oh but my heart. It's breaking. I knew it was coming but it still sucks. I have hope for something, or someone, else. But right now I feel so bad for Rose. It only get setter from here.

Everyone is binge-watching TV shows, but I'm binge-reading Rose Gardner mysteries. I can't get enough and am grateful I took a chance when I got the opportunity to download the first one for free. I think I loved the third one even more than the first two and can't wait to see what's in store in the next installments.

I liked the book but the ending was awful. I need the next book to see what happens with the characters and unfortunately I have no clue when the library will be getting a copy.

Another interesting installment that was better than the last! I think the mystery threading through all the stories is getting deeper and is well-thought out (compared to what I expected). The characters and their backstories are getting interesting too. Definitely on Team Mason right now also.
