Harrowing, heartbreaking, and yet so full of hope. Immaculee’s words are eye-opening and so relevant to our times. Riveting from start to finish.

This was a beautiful story. Even if you are not Christian read this book--you will get something out of it. You will learn about the genocide in Rwanda (which I didnt know about), and be inspired by Immaculée's resilience and faith. A quick read, and incredibly profound.

I didn't actually finish the last couple chapters. Interesting story, but way too religious for me... which I should have inferred from the title.

My old AP lang teacher and current debate teacher recommended this to me. I must say this is another amazing story about a survivor of the Rwandan genocide. I have read An Ordinary Man by Paul Rusesabagina and I think it would be great pairing these two stories together. While Paul was a full forty something year old man when this took place, Immaculee was early twenties so you really get to see the horrors of what took place through two different people's lives.
