DID NOT FINISH

Made it 68% and realized it’s not for me. It was too sad. Well written and loved the audio actor but it was too depressing for me right now.

the opening was super triggering as a twin mom but the book was a great family epic

This felt like a soap opera. So much was going on for every member of this family. Wild ride with mostly unlikable characters.

I found the writing to be very lovely and interesting, however, it was such a soap opera to read. I didn’t find myself very interested in the plot, and every dramatic situation that kept happening to the family was almost predictable and not interesting. The book didn’t keep my attention well, and wasn’t my thing.

Libby audio. Reese Witherspoon pick. Good narration but I just could not get into this story - like, really should be 1 star or a DNF, but I got to 2/3 done after suffering through to see if it got better. Mother, father, and their three adult children and their families. I didn’t care for any of the characters or their drama.

I enjoyed it but it felt flat at times :/

Not for me. Life-altering events after events. I couldn’t connect with the characters.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced audio copy.

The author packed too much into this story causing it all to feel quite surface-level. I didn't particularly like any of the characters, none of them felt like they had enough depth. Everything resolved too quickly.
