I seriously can't believe I waited this long to read this book. It was so moving, so honest, so well written. I loved every word, every emotion but when they referred to hanging with Nemo's mom and Tupac in heaven I was BOWLED over. An amazing journey of love, loss, friendships and the beauty of forgiving and finding yourself. Amazing.

Brittainy always rips your heart apart multiple times. Then slowly puts it back together. There was a lot of heartache in this book. But I enjoyed the journey.
Rating ~ 3.5 stars
Maybe its b/c I read this after reading Silent waters and I really loved that one that this one was just okay...

3.5 stars. So this was good much more than what I thought I was gonna get. So I've been meaning to read a brittainy c. Cherry book for years but miss mama only had her shyt on audible soooo it took me a min but finally did it and this particular book was always suggested to me because it's a forbidden romance trope with some student/teacher messiness and I eat that shyt taboo shyt up in fiction. And I will say the teacher/student aspect wasn't like Mary Kay letourneau/Ezra and aria from PLL messy and the story was really about more than just that relationship. The side characters were great loved Hailey and Ryan. The themes in the book outside of the forbidden Romance aspect were really about overcoming sibling grief, family dynamics, finding your way after loss those things. The ending was a bit extra in how they wrapped it up and that lil conflict at like 92% was like really
He noticed me noticing him, and when he looked up to find my eyes, he smiled pretty wide. Which made me feel pretty small. So I adjusted my stare to the navy, coffee-stained carpet and hurried on my way. His eyes were so blue and filled with interest. For a second, I thought they were a passageway to a different world.
Beautiful.
Breathtaking.
Brilliant.
Blue eyes.
I sighed. Maybe they were a passageway to a better world.
That's when the first time Ashlyn met Daniel Daniels. She still in broken heart by the death of her twins sister, but she could feel free by seeing into the eyes of Daniel, yet she knew also that Daniel was in grieving too.
She met him for the first time at the train. Ashlyn decided to live with her father Henry in Wisconsin. Her parents have seperated long time ago. Actually she almost didnt recognise her own father, she even called him by his name, not father like Hailey and Ryan do. Yes, Henry was remarried with Rebecca and they have 2 children. She felt awkward in her new home, but by the time went on, she would call them as family.
I really love the chemistry between Ashlyn and Daniel, they should struggle to find their happiness together. I love with Daniel Character here, he was really a true gentleman :)
When they could express their love, it made me feel nervous too... when they faced an obstacle..it made me in emotion too i feel sad and sorry for them.
Really love this book !
