this one was more stupid and boring. hope the third can bring it home but i doubt there is much in the third book to impress me. this really could have been put into one book or two. but a trilogy? jesus christ. i already know one plot twist in the next book. Aiden definitely is the one who shot Elsa. Too much foreshadowing in this book. And it was obvi the entire time that Knox was her brother or some strange shit. god i hope the next book is less sex and more plot. i hope the rest of this series is that way. its annoying that we only get tidbits of the plot through boring sex scenes that are repetitive and unnecessary. is it possible for someone to write dark romance with closed-door scenes? i'm not even a fucking prude, it's just smut is like the lowest form of nsfw content in my open. god. i hope reading this was worth it. the next book better have a payoff or i'm pissed

I was not expecting a lot of the plot twists in this book. It is primarily focused on their past experiences and how they interlink with one another. The one thing I hate is that I feel like they finally catch a break and then someone drops a bomb on their relationship. I love Elsa and Aiden and I can’t wait to finish their story

The roller coaster I am on with my love hate relationship with Aiden is just wild. Like I understand all of Elsa's feelings, because girl I am feeling them too. One minute I hate him and the next I am squealing over something he said. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else, but I was so with Ms Rina and saw things coming until the very last word out of Elsa's mouth and then I had my what moment... excuse me while book three cuts in front of my TBR list.
