lighthearted fast-paced

I'm finally catching up on my TBR pile...figured I'd start with my Entangled Brazens. This was an excellent choice. The story was light-hearted enough, with lots of funny humor & steamy chemistry!

The thing with Brazen titles is I can always expect a strong MC, a sexy fella, and an amazing story line. Private Practice totally covers that and more. It's completely seductive with a strong female lead and a beyond sexy love interest and the story itself deals with hard work and difficult situations. Absolutely loved it!

Pretty good book with lots of humorous scenes. I laughed out loud at times. Very enjoyable.

As soon as I saw that the main character was described as bookish, I figured this was the book for me. I probably should’ve done just a little more research before making that decision. This novel (412 pages on the Nook) was a surprise for me because I completely overlooked the fact that it is a romance novel. Samanthe Beck’s writing was intriguing and easy to follow. Her characters were well-developed, relatable and lovable (I don’t know if I liked Ellie or Tyler better, they were both amazing!). The dialogue between Tyler and Ellie was humorous throughout most of Private Practice and will keep you on your toes. There is some explicit content in this book, so I’d definitely say ages 16+. If you’re hardcore into the romance genre, then this might be a bit light for your usual tastes, but it’s still definitely worth reading. I’d recommend Private Practice, as long as you don’t mind some sexual content with your plot.

emotional funny medium-paced

Sex lessons! Good-girl dr returns to hometown, and needs some sex experience to capture her crush’s attention. Enter town bad boy, an actual human adult with feelings! Shot in the ass, terrified of her driving, buying sex toys, first real orgasm with a man. When your crush is gay and no one know it but you.

Abusive dads, small-town prejudice, alcoholism, diabetic health emergencies.

Oh this was absolutely not for me. I had to look and see if the author was a man because of all the references to men needing to grow a pair and all of the double D talk. It was not for me.

It was a little slow to start but Ellie was a fun character. I always enjoy heroines who go after what they want. The storyline with her diabetic dad added a nice depth.
