This book should just be called Laia Continues to Make Bad Choices: Part Two.

But honestly, it was better than the first and we get a lot more backstory that puts the motives behind several characters into perspective. I'm looking forward to seeing where the third goes. Though if I am understanding this correctly, there are going to more than three books. So we'll see.

Not quite as good as the first book. Fell into the evil middle book trilogy pit of having too much filler...in my opinion. Still a great read!
