A great short story that just adds to the Green Bone world.

Super úvod do serie. Na to ako som nikdy nedokázal prísť na chuť mestskej fantasy, tak za poslednú dobu som si ich vybral dosť veľa a vybral som si dobre

So, so damn good. Pulio is what Nikoyan should have been in the third book instead of the sad cardboard soldier he ended up with. I cannot belive how much I felt for this character, how invigorating it made me think, and the ending. The ending was so beautiful. Heartfelt and yet so terrible tragic if you had read Jade city.

Amazing. Simply amazing.

A very enjoyable story in the Green Bone Saga world that fleshes out the world by delving into the lives of people who aren't part of the big clan families. I loved this glimpse to the past, before war and conflict erupted between No Peak and the Mountain.

There is also a poignant theme regarding the reality of indigenous people--the Abukei in this world--and the prejudice and oppression they face in a world that benefits from their presence but would rather not have to interact with them.

The Jade Setter of Janloon was an interesting read, showing us the reality of non-jade users and their interactions in between the two clans. In the main Green Bone Saga books we are exposed to powerful people with influences that leaves us in awe. This was a breath of fresh air, greed, romance, and the heavy neutrality that must come with being a Jade setter that works without bias for both clans.

Love anything from the Green Bone Saga.

I think that I will love this Jade City universe for ever. Now add it a crime mystery and main characters that are actually regular people trying to make a living in this crime family run city??? Perfection of a plot! Lee's characterization of men who are the worst, but secretly are the best will never fail!

I loved this and loved being back in the world of the green bone saga. It was so fun to see the world of Kekon and the clans through the eyes of a neutral civilian
