Wow! This author was recommended to me by another author I read and she’s great. This story was extra long but it was so well written that it didn’t drag. Both Kenzie and Austin, the lead characters, have huge amounts of previous relationship baggage they bring with them and the author skilfully showed them dealing with it, not ignoring it, so there was huge amounts of character development to go with detailed relationship development. I also appreciated the nature of the BDSM exchanges - I’m not into pain and this story was great for me - and dual POV, because I want to know what both characters are thinking, feeling, and dealing with, not just one! Whilst the trigger warnings have no impact for me, I was gladdened to see them there for those who need them. I will definitely read other stories by this author.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

This book was a bit different from the rest of the Snow Pirates Series seeing as it dove deep into the word of BDSM and kink. However, it was still a softer read and Austin and Mackenzie’s relationship was so much fun to read about. I did miss the college sports romance aspect that the rest of the series includes, but I still enjoyed this story.

I loved the softer tones in this book that helped balance out the steamier scenes and the little cameos of other characters from the rest of the series (especially Finn!).

This series is just so much fun and I cannot wait for Book 5 to come out in a few months!

DNF at 4%. There's a lot of exposition in this book. Couldn't get into the story.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Two for Boarding is unlike any of the other books in the Snow Pirates series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. While hockey took a backseat in this book, the characters we know and love were still a part of Austin and Mackenzie’s journey. I enjoyed meeting Mackenzie’s gal pals and the new friends made in the “sex dungeon.” I hope we hear more from all of them in future books. I wasn’t very knowledgeable about the BDSM community, but I appreciate how the author used every opportunity to educate the reader.

Austin is a college hockey player, health nut, pleasure dom, and a calming presence to those close to him. He takes care of those around him including his friends in the hockey. After he split from his long-time girlfriend he had a hard time trusting again. He met Mackenzie when she started working for the hockey team and again when she attended a special club with her friends. Mackenzie moved across the country to escape an abusive relationship. She is sassy, hooked on sweet tea, and did not fit in the Southern Belle mold her family put her in. She was described as vanilla, but she was made to feel dirty for wanting to explore her desires by her ex. They are a match made in heaven because they are able to give each other what they need. Austin needs a submissive that appreciates being taken care of and Mackenzie needs a partner that makes her feel valued and cared for. They are a dream couple and seemed to be in sync other than the omission that split them briefly.

This story is a journey of self discovery. Mackenzie finally acknowledges and accepts how strong she is… by leaving an abusive marriage, breaking family expectations when they weren’t good for her, and finally living a life she wants and deserves. Austin was fantastic and through small, but mighty actions, he helped her get there. Austin comes to terms with his breakup and works to build a relationship with Mackenzie on trust and wanting what’s best for your partner. They both emphasized that what you want, want you need, and what you say matters. You are heard and you are loved regardless due to the love and respect they have for each other. This was a fantastic read and I definitely recommend giving it a read!

this book follows Mackenzie who is coming out of an abusive relationship and gets away from him by running away from him and Texas. Then she meets Austin at a BDSM club. She’s immediately intrigued with him and everything else around her.
This book had a really sweet relationship based around the two main characters based in love and mutual respect for each other. Austin helps her with self love and self worth.
I loved Mackenzie’s friend group they were hilarious

**ARC Review**
Read this pucking book! I love Hockey Romance and add in the extra spice of BDSM! Wooo..this book is steamy!

Kenzie the sassy, Texan, trainer and Austin the tin man, hockey Dom are fire! He introduces her to the BDSM world and the Dom/sub relationship! Their banter back in forth in the beginning had me rolling! Oh I think by far my favorite scene was the gift she got on her desk at work!

I loved the ending of this, i was getting real worried I wouldn’t like it. HEA for sure! Their epic romantic love story is one for the books!

This was my first from this author and I am forsake going to be reading the rest of this series!

Again there are Triggers to be read: Kink, BDSM, mentioning of Domestic Violence (Heroine is a survivor)

The concept is interesting, and I loved the relationship between Kenzie and her friends, as well as Austin’s patience and willingness to help Kenzie explore. Kenzie was able to ask any and every question she had and address any concerns. Austin guided Kenzie in a way that was respectful and open. However, not able to connect with the characters. I empathized with them and wanted everything to work out for them but couldn’t find the emotional connection even with the serious situations addressed. This could be in part to it being an established series. Overall, I enjoyed this story and want to see what happens next.

This book had a little bit of a different feel than the rest of the series, but still a fantastic read!
It does address a couple of tougher and less discussed topics, so be sure to check out the authors note at the beginning to ensure this story is right for you!

Mackenzie is a wonderful, she was so smart and strong and I loved watching her come into her own and seeing the true self that she was able to discover! Her fears and self consciousness are very relatable.

I found this to be such a fascinating read, I loved all of the descriptions and extra details. Including, the way I which Austin spoke-he had so many layers to his character and was so very true to himself. His wants and beliefs regardless of the pressure that was put on him by his father wants. Austin really was such a complex character, he is so much more that meets the eye and loved reading all about him. He just makes you melt and swoon.

The sensual, beautiful, caring and trusting connection they shared was great. I loved watching all the aspects of Austin and Mackenzie relationship as it developed. Austin’s patience with her, her curiosity and their respect and devotion to each other was very special.

We did get to see a bit of the rest of the characters from the previous books and the introduction of new side characters, the found family, was wonderful so much fun, supportive and loveable.

I look forward to what this author has up next for both the Snow Pirates and the new Protocol characters!
