honestly 3 may be generous, levi really outsold here. holy shit i hated bee. i hated her. with her galaxy leggings and infuriating tendency to resolve the ENTIRE conflict between her and levi and then IMMEDIATELY forget. ALSO, the conflict doesnt even make sense? because you seriously thought he hated you? seriously? “i haven’t done anything and he hates me :(“ YEAH BECAUSE HE JUST OBVIOUSLY DOESN’T??? ugh. would have been like a 2 if i wasn’t in live with levi.

I fear my eyes may be permanently stuck in the back of my head from rolling my eyes so much. The storyline is fun and I love the Marie Curie blog aspect. But the main female protagonist is so annoying and actively gets in her own way without any sort of self awareness to overcome her own faults. I couldn’t connect with why the main male character would even like her so their love was just not believable. I was so annoyed I couldn’t focus on the actual plot which did seem interesting.

Not for me.

“I love you. And you are my home.”

I have come to the conclusion that women in STEM may be my soft spot (as well as of course the academic rivals to lovers that was this book).

definitely not the strongest of ali hazelwood’s book. i didn’t like it as much as i loved the others. but it has its charm. and i am weak for a man who will defend and do everything for you
including take down a man with a gun lol

i think what made this book significantly feel less interesting than the others was the twist villain in the end. but i loved the main characters. i love bee and her contradictions. but she does tend to be oblivious and i’m not fond of the miscommunication trope but it did make me laugh.
