Part of the beauty of this book is how real it is about being a mom in your 30s. Also though, moms in their 30s can be kinda boring, so … this book is a little boring. As a girl who had two male best friends in high school one of whom always drove me and the other friend around, I did love the nostalgia of the “before” chapters (we also all rode in the front seat!) but even those just didn’t have the sparkle of other rainbow Rowell high school-set stories.
