I love Rainbow Rowell’s writing, even if I’m not a fan of the characters, plot, or setup. This was not a cute romcom (which is what I had been expecting) but more serious/realistic will-they-won’t-they romance spiked with quite a bit of anxiety and miscommunication/lack of communication. Had it been another writer, I may have given up, but I did enjoy the journey even if I didn’t care for Shiloh, Cary, or their romance. (Junie was adorable though.)
