It's kind of all over the place, and the third-person POV threw me off most of the time.
Ridiculously sweet, even if it got a bit slow and random at times. I cried at the ending
I can't believe this is was written by the same author as Battle Royale, a book I loved. This was horrific. It was just ridiculous. Realism isn't needed in fiction but a bit of sense is and there was none of it in this book. The plot was insane with incredibly irritating characters and it was the biggest waste of time. I wanted it to end after chapter four. Such a disappointment.

This probably would have been a five star read for me if I had consumed the book differently. But this was a bedtime kindle read and it took me forever to finish because I kept reading 2-3 pages then falling asleep. The plot and characters were easy to keep track of though, so it was conducive to this method, but it meant I was never fully IN the story.
my dear Lucy sure has a way with words. her writings are just chefs kiss.
3.5 Stars
I really hate the whole super big man, smol girl trope (which is ironic because my bf is almost a foot taller than me) but I just feel like it's overdone. But the story is entertaining.

A solid sequel to BATTLE ROYAL, featuring Dominic’s little sister and Johnny’s security guard, both of whom have their own pasts to wrangle with in order to fully see through an attraction they have with the respect and tenderness it deserves.
This was a delightful sequel to Battle Royal. I really enjoyed getting to know and love Pet and Matthias and all the people at the castle. This book was funny and sad and wonderful. I really felt for both characters and am so very glad they found each other. This book brought me many smiles in a very busy week in my life and I'm so grateful.
