The pacing of this book is so confusing. Each scene has so much packed into it that I can never tell if any plot point or dialogue was a continuation of the same day/hour/scene or if it was an entirely new situation. Otherwise, I liked the book. The characterization was fun and interesting.
lighthearted fast-paced

A solid romance and some great side plots. I may like this one more than the first!

saurrrr good!! so refreshing when the two mcs of a romcom actually have a base level of understanding, chemistry, and care for one another from the get go. as a reader it’s much easier to believe a couple are in love & will feasibly stick together long term when they have good communication, show empathy for their partner, and don’t spend every second chapter arguing. that breath of fresh air is exactly why i loved matthias and pet’s dynamic - they’re a team, always have been, always will be.

PET AND MATTHIAS I'M SCREAMINGGGGGGG

Merged review:

PET AND MATTHIAS I'M SCREAMINGGGGGGG

Super sweet, a very well done version of the gentle grumpy giant and the small bubbly love of his life. Loved Pet’s 20s style wardrobe and her obsession with buttons.

I wish it hadn’t been such a slow burn, that there had been more of the after they’re together part, and more of Pet with her new family, and seeing Matthias see his family in Ireland again, but it was still sweet.

Also Matthias should’ve called her Button more. That was adorable.
