Skip this one, unless you've got hoopla, a beer, and literally nothing better to read.

quite a nice page layout, but the story honestly means nothing...

Super rushed and underwhelming, but kind of pretty and certainly fast to get through.

This is a short series (4 issues). Interesting premise, a group of children find a mystical book which when they read it aloud it transports them into a fantastical realm. Things are all fun and games until someone gets their eye poked out. And not just their eye, their whole soul, fiber, and being too. In other words one of them gets stuck in the realm and the rest go off to live their lives until in adulthood. Then the adult ex-friends find themselves together again when another one disappears into the fantastical realm. They unite to bring back both missing cohorts.

As I said, interesting premise, but the execution and images did not speak to me. I like to be whisked off to adventures and lose myself in the material, but this comic series did not do it for me. I am sure this will be someone else's cup of tea, but it was not mine. If you have similar tastes to mine, then steer clear of this puppy. There are so many other great things out there to check out.

I quite enjoyed this book. However you can tell that this was supposed to be imagined as a longer series that just 4 issues, as things happened so rapidly and no real closer to the story.

The only reason I gave this book 4 stars was down the artwork and colour. It was so eclectic and vibrant and left me wanting to see more of it. Hopefully we will, only time will tell!

Really enjoyed the art and the premise, the ending was very rushed.

I'm glad this final issue gave some clarity on what excatly was going on the whole time, but it remained largely ambiguous.
