Woman Last Seen

Adele Parks

3.47 AVERAGE

Leigh is happily married to a wonderful husband and stepmom to his two kids. When she last went to work, she didn't come home. The family is distraught about it, especially because she and her husband had a huge fight before she went missing.

Kai is married to a wealthy businessman Daan. She disappears the same week. There is no trace after her.

It's up to detective Clements to solve the mystery and finds their women.

I loved the book till about half of it. I kind of guessed what will happen next and it was way less fun to read it then. Nonetheless, an awesome story.

A good premise for a book, like the way the spotlight for who was responsible was like a lighthouse , that light just moving its focus . Good read

I was hooked from the very beginning with this book by Adele Parks. It’s a domestic thriller that does include a subject that might be too taboo for many.
However, if you know me…I thrive on thrillers that are filled with disturbing taboo subjects and if you need to put TW I’m all about it

Interesting take on the female equivalent of what is more common for men (won’t divulge the plot spoiler) - I did cotton on who the kidnapper was earlier on & ending was merciless - had hoped the investigators would have cottoned on in time

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me guessing almost to the end - from the “big” bombshell in the first act to the smaller twists throughout the second. I found myself dissatisfied with the ending though - don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty left to ponder, it just didn’t quite finish on a high for me. Absolutely would still recommend!
