This is a captivating thriller that explores the complexities of marriage and the devastating consequences of hidden secrets. The novel centres around two missing women, seemingly unconnected, whose disappearances raise troubling questions about their seemingly perfect lives.

Parks skillfully weaves together multiple perspectives, creating a suspenseful narrative that keeps you guessing until the very end. The characters are well-developed and relatable, even as their flaws and vulnerabilities are exposed.

While the plot is intricate and engaging, the pacing occasionally lags in the middle, and some of the twists might feel a bit predictable to seasoned thriller readers. However, Parks' exploration of themes such as trust, betrayal, and the masks we wear in relationships elevates the novel beyond a typical suspense story. Both of You is a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant read that will stay with you long after you turn the final page.

Amazing - Adele Parks is one of my favourite authors and I can never stop reading/hit pause on the audiobook until it's finished! Always excellent twists and turns to keep you hooked until the end

Leigh Fletcher, devoted wife, mother, and friend goes to work one day but doesn’t return home as expected. The following week another woman, Kai Janssen, disappears. Their lives couldn’t be further apart but are their disappearances linked?

I absolutely loved this book! It’s smart, fast-paced, tension-filled, and you won’t want to put it down. It’ll keep you guessing all the way through - have they run away, were they taken, or are their husbands to blame?

The story is told from multiple perspectives which really added to my enjoyment as we get to find out more about our characters lives, and not everything is as it first seems. It has the perfect mix of plot and character and an ending that will leave you wanting more, speaking of which…

The ending of Both of You is fantastically open-ended but readers wanted answers! Thankfully Adele Parks listened and her latest novel, Just Between Us picks up where this book leaves off (I’ll be reading it very soon!). If you enjoy Domestic Noir and Psychological Thrillers then I really think you’ll enjoy this book and can’t recommend it enough.

The premise is what hooked me. The slow drawn out storyline is what lost me. The twist was good, and whilst it came in the first 25% of the book it left the rest completly lacking and it felt like the pa demic was just thrown in, for nothing other then to try and add a sence of timeline. wasn't too long after the twist that I figured out the who to the whole saga. However, it's the why that was just pathetic. And how rushed the ending seemed to be. I won't continue on with the sequel as I genuinely don't care enough about it.

Dirty Dog.
It be your own people!
I was guessing everybody.
This was excellently written.

One thing I can say w/o spoilers is.... your marriage is your marriage. You and only the people directly involved in your marriage need to agree on the terms which make you all happy and productive. Don't let your marriage fail while trying to live a precut life prescribed by the masses. In the event it does not work, as a baseline or foundation you can say, "I was true to myself". Be your authentic self. There are so many soulless clones out there volleying for likes and recognition. (Read the book and you will get it)

Who knew?
The collateral damage was mighty in a bad way.
A couple of books were read only to find out the characters in all these stories are horrible ass housekeepers, lol.

Great read.
I recommend.

I don't understand the good reviews of this book. I could not follow the story and I didn't like the characters. I restarted it twice. And this is the first book I've started in 2024 that I couldn't finish.

Wow that ending!

Women last seen is a twisty thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I totally didn't expect the ending wow. Leigh is mark's second wife and the stepmother to Oli and Seb. From the outside they seem like a very happy family that is until secrets start coming to the surface.

Leigh Fletcher: happily married stepmum to two gorgeous boys goes missing on Monday. Her husband Mark says he knows nothing of her whereabouts. She simply went to work and just never came home. Their family is shattered.

Kai Janssen: married to wealthy Dutch businessman, Daan, vanishes the same week. Kai left their luxurious penthouse and glamourous world without a backward glance. She seemingly evaporated into thin air. Daan is distraught.

DC Clements knows that people disappear all the time – far too frequently. Most run away from things, some run towards, others are taken but find their way back. A sad few never return. These two women are from very different worlds, their disappearances are unlikely to be connected. And yet, at a gut level, the DC believes they are.

Although this was a good read it was not nearly as good as it could have been. Daan is a caricature, just how rich and gorgeous can you make someone? The red herrings were plentiful and obvious but they meant you could never be sure who the villain would turn out to be - which I suppose was the object. When the ending came it was very underwhelming, it felt like the last few chapters were missing (and as this was a preview copy I seriously considered this).

I felt all the characters, other than the two boys, were shallow and under explored so the whole impetus of the book was defined by the plot - and when this was resolved it was such a disappointment that it spoiled the whole book for me.

This was a copy received from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
