A fast moving, fun, occasionally snarky, demon + nerd book with enough heart to make you love the characters and root for them. Books, baking, demons and a little bloodshed.
Honestly surprised at how good this was. A couple of eyebrow raises or eye rolls, but minor stuff, and a really engaging read all in all. I am excited to dive more into the world this author has created.

Cute story.
I had to get over my predisposed dislike of such a meek "terrified of confrontation" heroine and her sometimes infantile coping mechanisms to give this book a fair shake.
Robin, the h, is otherwise likable and I enjoyed the story. Her relationship with 'her' Demon was well done and their banter amusing. There isn't a romance, but a working partnership. Not sure if a romance is where the story is going but the story doesn't currently need it to enrich the book. Their partnership feels very organic and authentic.

I hope maybe theres a dual pov coming up in the next book, i need to see the world through the Zylas’ eyes because Robin’s overthinking is redundant :/

Very decent book, im not jumping up and down but it is hard to put down :)
The author mainly writes YA books and it shows, even though one of the book tags is new adult, had i known the writing style was completely YA I wouldn’t given this a chance but here we are…i like the plot and the characters enough to overlook it
