This was another fun urban fantasy installment by Annette Marie. I'm not sure yet, if I'll like the series, because there are so many ways that naive girl plus dangerous supernatural male can go horribly wrong for me, but I'm interested to see where this goes. I'm also excited about the prospect of a more involved "crossover" storyline between this series and the other Guild Codex series in the future.

This was a surprisingly well written book for a Kindle freebie. I liked that the MC lured the demon by baking and feeding cookies. However there's a huge power imbalance here and I hope that as the series goes on
Spoiler and the MC finds her mother's Grimoire
it gets rectified.

What a surprisingly good and super entertaining book. Evidenced by the fact that it took me less than 2 days to read. I love how even though there's a lot of darkness in this book - demons, monsters, backstabbing, betrayal, attempted familicide - its still very upbeat and funny.

I'm interested in learning more about Robin's family history. Getting answers to the many questions we have after her parents death. And I also want to see her embrace her magic. Now that she's been thrust into this world where needing magic is imperative for her survival, I'm interested in seeing her learn more and unlocking her powers. Making her and Zylas a true force to be reckoned with.

I really loved this. Can relate to Robin as a character and like pretty much all the interactions she has with the other characters (especially a certain demon). The writting was good and the humor was great - looking forward to read more of this series.

I read this book in one sitting (from 11pm-5am) & it was the best thing ever. The book was very well written and it was understandable that Robin was a naive girl who wanted to do better.
