I want to inject this book into my VEINS I'm so damn obsessed it's unreal. I swear to god, the last time I've been so continuously excited while reading a book, binge reading it like there's no tomorrow and continuously giggling and kicking my feet and feeling euphoric with excitement, was about a year ago. And I've been chasing that high ever since.

I adore Robin!! Seriously, I love nothing more than a relatable socially anxious main character who believes she's weak and lame, and gets thrust into an adventure that slowly forces her to strengthen and develop, all while maintaining her good heart. Because same, so relatable, I'm not strong and confrontational either, and this book is an inspirational representation for weak girlies like me.

AND ZYLAS. He's so demony and terrifying and lowkey adorable and I just can't get enough. And the banter!!! I ship Robin and Zylas so much is unreal.

Ugh this was such a fun read and I can't WAIT to devour the whole series!! I literally don't care about anything else in my life atm.

I’d seen this title for a while but unfortunately judged a book by its cover (no offence to the artwork to be clear, it’s beautiful!) but for whatever reason, I’d assumed I wouldn’t like the series. I was happily wrong.

I really enjoy the short, shy character of Robin, especially juxtaposed against her taller, more confident cousin Amalia. I find Robin’s inner thoughts and worries realistic, and she’s a likeable character.

I also really liked the opening first chapter - a dramatic start to a new series.

I'm not a big fan of Robin, I didn't warm to her in Tori's story and this didn't improve my option if her. I do however like Zylas and Amalia.
I liked reading about what else happened during Halloween and tying the 2 stories together.

I really enjoyed this novel. The audio was great. The voice fit the characters. It’s intense action packed and interesting. Robin and our demon pop up in Demon Magic and a Martini. Here we get the beginning of their story and how Robin ends up contracted with a demon. I liked our demon. The only downside was Robin. I like my heroines more together, bold, kick-ass. At first her shy mousiness worked but then it got annoying. Perth the entire book until maybe the last 10% she was just to reserve too shy and made ridiculous stupid decisions and didn’t want to confront the problem or a person.
