So charming and heartwarming. The art, perfect. I downloaded this in my kindle for a short read but I ended up reading it over and over haha :D
Edit. In my fifth read, and also because of another review I also want to point out that this may not be the best book to buy for your children if you are different races because you might face the question of, "why am I not like you" or "I look different than mom/dad so I'm not beautiful" because this books cover more the issue of a whole family being in the minority rather than nothing of her being different.
I'm still in love with this book, but I think I'll hold off reading it with my biracial son.

an absolutely breathtaking story with such great meaning and amazing lessons. representation matters! i'm so happy and excited that kids have books like this nowadays and cannot believe the length and fight it's taken to get representation and stories like this out there! i need to get my hands on a physical copy ASAP. this was just so rich and beautiful. people are so beautiful. this seriously brought tears to my eyes.

Wat een prachtig prentenboek! De illustraties zijn een van de mooiste die ik gezien heb. En wat een mooi, belangrijk verhaal over houden van jezelf zoals je bent. Mooie rol voor inclusiviteit in dit boek. Niets dan liefde voor dit boek! Ik kreeg daadwerkelijk vochtige ogen tijdens het lezen.

This was literally 5 minutes long on audio, but so so so beautiful and impactful. The writing is literally breathtaking.
