It was very hard to get invested in this book, and I’m not sure why. The characters were fun for the most part, and the twist was pretty good, but I don’t have any interest in reading further installments.

So lovely and relaxing to read. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t a real island as there are so many little details and fun quirks. Definitely one of my favourites of the year

The writing at the start of the book was glorious and really got me invested and immersed in this island, a great summer read. However I just found the book a bit slow and boring with not enough happening. The world building was stunning, with this beautiful island and interesting history and characters but the plot itself just fell a bit flat for me
