This book is told from the POV of four different sisters in four parts. The style changes with each POV, and I found that I liked it less and less with each change in POV.

There are many things to love about this book (such as the diversity in its cast, the LGBTQ+ representation, and the sweet moments between family) but ultimately it wasn't for me. I'm just not the audience for slice of life stories. I feel like slice of life, when there's a bigger plot behind it all, can be a little bit rushed and underdeveloped. And while I don't have sisters, only brothers, they drive me dlcrazy from time to time and I feel like it would be similar with sisters?
Also, I really wanted to to know more about Dad's history! I feel like we got a little bit of it with Nidhi, and then Rani, but I found myself really wanting to know more.

We chose this title for our February Young Adult for Adults book club at my work/library. I am not usually a big romance fan, but I found the setting of the PNW, the cozy inn where the four sisters grew up, and the love they showed for one another really wormed its way into my heart. I really enjoyed that the story was told in four parts and gave each of the sisters the opportunity to shine and show how they are unique and special. The dad's love story unfurling on top of this was just another sweet bonus, and like any good Bollywood movie- it ended with a wedding! Definitely would recommend to anyone who is looking to thaw out their cold heart this winter. Very cute and heartwarming!
I like the PNW vibes and diversity of this book, but it was a little cliche and surface level at moments
Really cute stories. I now want to live in an inn on an island. The sisters were cute and I loved that they all had very different stories. I felt that there was a lack of substance, but that could just be me. I'm not a huge fan of short stories for that reason. There's only so much you can squeeze in.
Very cute. I love this family and will definitely read the next book. My only complaint is that is was too long. It either needed to be two books or give more like 60 pages to each sister than around 100.
