I liked Nidhi, the elder sister’s story and that of Avani. Sirisha’s story was okay. I heard half of her part and then half of Rani’s coz both were too repetitive and well, kinda boring. Frankly, I think it’s a ‘me’ problem because I guess I am too old for YA romances now. 😅

DNF around 25%. This book is not bad, but very simplistic and predictable. It's also extremely overpopulated with characters, the kitchen sink of shallow "representation", and endless narrative switches between the main-ish characters' stories.
I found it exhausting to follow and impossible to care about, so I gave up. At least for now.
But, maybe, if I am in the right mood, I will come back to it. Hence no rating.

omg 🥺 this was absolutely lovely and wholesome and cozy and perfect 💕 i adored the family dynamics more than anything - the friendship between the sisters and their dad was so touching. hearing about the lore and history of this family was the most compelling aspect of this novel. the writing was so atmospheric, and i loved how dynamic orcas island felt. definitely one of those hook where the setting is a character as well. at its heart, this book is a celebration of family, food, and joy after grief 💖🥰🌱
unfortunately, i kinda hated nidhi’s romance, which is a shame because she’s such a compelling character☹️
