Beautiful art. The stories were okay. The longest one was my favorite. Really loved the art tho.

I found that the first story was the weakest; a little too vague, even for her style.

The art is beautiful and detailed, and I have never seen a graphic novel that so effectively pulled me into its atmosphere. I read this when the sun was fully shining, but I kept expecting to look out the window to a dreary, desolate day. Maybe a graveyard would manifest on my front lawn. Worth a read, and worth a purchase.

I just adore these books - this is my second Emily Carroll and I love the dark and macabre stories which are just plain creepy. But most of all I adore the art style - I love the use of colour and I think it’s amazing how she is able to capture the sinister in her drawings. Love it!

Carroll’s art is beautiful and disquieting, making excellent use of colour and space. Overall an impressive and deeply creepy collection of stories, putting new spins on familiar tropes, each more unsettling than the last.

My only issue is that the ambiguity of the endings makes me feel almost feral with wanting to know what happens next. (Although a strong case could be made that this is the desired effect.)
