Through the woods is a collection of five short scary stories, although the introduction and conclusion read like two parts of their own scary story. None of the stories take place in modern times, which I believe helps to add depth to the creepy atmosphere in each story. Without modern technology, the stories are more believable. Each one leaves off on a cliffhanger for added suspense My favorites were "His Face All Red" and "Our Neighbor's House". I do feel like the stories were reminiscent of the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series.
The stories themselves aren't that scary, but with the imagery, I would recommend this as a YA book. The illustrations are all dark with few exceptions, some stories contain blue and a dark sickly yellow while every story has at least a tinge of red. I liked how the conclusion showed more of the reader's bedroom, and it was modeled after the green bedroom in Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.

Una de mis compañeras de trabajo estaba hablando de esta artista el otro día y su pasión al hablar de su trabajo llamó mucho mi atención así que la pedí el cómic prestado y lo devoré en una noche.
Es una maravilla tanto en el apartado artístico de dibujo, edición y color; como en el apartado narrativo, con cinco historias cortas todas dentro de la temática del cuento de hadas oscuro y macabro. Tanto narración como ilustración se compenetran a la perfección creando un trabajo delicioso para los sentidos, una experiencia magnífica para el lector.
Si os gustan los cuentos de hadas con un toque oscuro, incluso sádico, sorprendente y con una atmósfera oscura estoy segura de que esta lectura, más bien todas las obras de la autora, os van a encantar.

Loved the style to book was drawn in. It was a bit too spooky for me! But beautiful art. The series of graphic short stories is very intresting and very well done :)

Wow. I would like it more if some stories would have had a more closed ending, but even so it was really creepy and poetic sometimes. It is definitely worth the read.
