Sloane Parker, a very supportive, very emotional librarian gets fired from her job when she goes to far and uses the library private records to get his address to check on him because he hadn’t been at the library for a few days. This loving act ends up starting a book club and bringing other people together at Arther’s house - who in turn - through self introspection - and with Arthur’s sarcasm - find their voice and grow beyond themselves.

Wow! If you’ve lost hope in humanity, this may be the read you need. This was such a beautiful story about platonic love and friendship amongst the most unlikely characters; And a friendship that grew over the love of books! This was full of heart and banter that had me giggling and bursting at the seams with giddiness. And the numerous literary references were top tier! This will be in my top ten of the year for sure!
