Wow. This book fueled my fury, that is for sure. The Change forces us to look at the power we place in the hands of not only the wealthy but men in general. When three women, the unlikeliest of friends, find themselves drawn together, they have no idea what they are in for. But, one thing is for certain- they will not stop until they figure out exactly what they are dealing with. A gym owner, a botanist, and a nurse stumble upon a dead body only to learn this is just one of many. This story unravels a very tangled web of suspects and lies that will keep you on your toes and ready to burn it all to the ground!

I will take NO criticism of this book. What a powerful revenge fantasy. Exactly what we need during this time (and, let’s be honest…all the time). Harriet, Jo, & Nessa 4ever

Picked this up with the recommendation of a good female rage read. It was a decent, quick read even though it was longer than it needed to be.
Pros:
-good rep of 40ish women's struggles
-very feminist, really highlights the struggles if all women of different classes with being overlooked, looked down upon, mistreated, and stereotyped
-describes the pent up rage and frustration of being treated as less than

Cons:
-great idea for a story but predictable plot. Maybe it's just me, but I was able to guess who all the bad guys were the moment they were introduced. None if the plot twists were a surprise. Dialogue was flat.
-the main characters had some awesome powers that could have enhanced the plot/action but mostly flopped
I wish they had used them to get their revenge! Especially Jo who was literally filled fire and strength to violently kill these predators. The guys died but in mostly boring ways, not worth the lead up to a quick death

I read a review that said "Witches of Eastwick meets Pretty Little Liars" and I'd say that's pretty accurate. A femanine rage that dabbles in witch craft, murder mystery, and menopause. I really loved this novel and thought was sooo unique!

An absolutely feminist powerhouse of a book, everything resonates with women’s treatment in a patriarchal society but what I love about it is that there are 3 badass main women that investigate and get their revenge, which is missing from most books that contain violence against women and girls.

This may be a marketing issue rather than an issue with the book itself, but I started reading the book because it’s about women who gain magical powers while going through menopause.

This book does have that but the women use their powers to uncover a sex trafficking ring, which was way more than I expected.

I don’t really like books that are all about violence against women (even if the perpetrators are brought to justice) but I read the whole thing because I liked the magic.

Hopefully the success of this book will cause an uptick in books about women who gain magical powers while going through menopause so that I can read something that isn’t so depressing.

All the stars! I listened to this one and strongly recommend it to connect fully with the characters and their voices in the audio. Misogyny, “good ol boys,” men running the world and sliding up the ladders of success while women struggle to make the climb. All come into play in the testament to women coming into - and grabbing onto - their own power.
