I liked this better than book 1. I’m eager to learn more about Barrons - could do with a significantly less amount of Mac’s internalized dialogue of superiority. 😅

I still am struggling to connect with her as our FMC - i find her incredibly unlikeable. I’m hoping as the story goes she can grow up a bit.

I definitely will continue with the series - this book left me with more questions than answers and I am enjoying the progression of the overall story.

I enjoyed this one more than the first in the series. Here's to hoping the rest of the series is just as exciting. I still find the main character a little whiny. Mac spends a little too much time mourning the loss of the "normal" life she left behind, but I believe she'll get better as time moves forward. Jericho Barrons still remains a mystery to me. I don't know who or what he is, but I'm looking forward to figuring it as we move forward. I think I'm as distrustful and skeptical as the main character is of all the other characters around her -- whiny or not whiny I've still managed to connect with her which is something author Moning should be proud of. Creating a solid, emotional connection between your readers and the main protagonist of your book is often where so many other authors come up short.

I've requested _Faefever_ and can't wait until it comes in. Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

Significantly better. Liked that fight scene. Rawr.

This was way better for me than Darkfever because both Jericho and Mac are really starting to grow on me and I'm actually starting to root for them. The true reason I'm tearing through this series, though, is because Jericho Barrons is WAY TOO MYSTERIOUS. Every question that is answered about him is only replaced by yet more questions. I want to know you, Jericho Barrons. Let me see your secrets. TELL ME WHO AND WHAT YOU ARE.

I edited out the actual review for now because I can't seem to correctly get across my feelings about this book, and the more I edit it, the less coherent it becomes.
