"Lasciate che vi dica che le cose inventate sono più belle e importanti di quelle reali [...] Io sto dalla parte di Aslan, anche se è pura invenzione; voglio vivere come un Narniano anche se Narnia non esiste."- Pozzanghera

It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Wouldn’t say it’s my favourite but it was enjoyable enough

2 stars

Eh. I was mostly bored. And Eustace still kinda sucks.

This is for sure not my favorite of the series.

Puddleglum is not my favorite. Having zero Pevensies in evidence isn't the greatest. The journey is all right, but once they get underground their escape seems to take forever. I actually get what the allegory is with the witch's mesmerizing music this time, but that doesn't mean it's any more fun to read. On to the next.

I loved Puddleglum! He was my favorite character in this book and he’s probably why I’m giving it 5 stars.

This one moved!! Amen. Speaking of Amen, very very heavy Christian allegory in this one which I did enjoy. Loved Puddleglum he made me lol - 4

September 27 2019: Having reread this book, and seeing my previous review makes me think I didn’t pay enough attention to the story when I listened to the audiobook. If I had, I think I would have not felt the need to be bothered by what names were used to address each other or this apparent “lack” of the witch and the /missing/ prince. I also think we see more explicit theological/philosophical arguments in this book than in previous books which I really enjoyed. Very glad I reread this one.

December 14 2015: I enjoyed this story. I wished they had called Scrub Eustice instead but I enjoyed the story and wish we could gave seen more of th e witch and prince Rillian.
