This book made me feel very sad and very warm simultaneously. Major notes of mama drama / genealogy / legacy / family. And birds, of course. Loved it.

exquisite writing and yet i feel it should have been shorter, i really struggled to finish this!

the issue may have been that the author is so skilled, but the story wasn't actually all that engaging - the beautiful language and observations made it impossible to NOT finish, even when i wasn't interested or enjoying it anymore ... a difficult one.

I am starting to really like irish drama

This was such a solid read. Such wonderful writing and a story unfolding so slowly it feels like you’re living alongside Nell and Carmel.

3,5. Fin men lämnar nog inget vidare avtryck på mig. Föredrog Memphis eller Water som har liknande teman.
