This book gives the same feel as ‘The Secret Garden’ which is one of my all time favourites, so I found myself constantly comparing... I almost gave it 4 stars because of this comparison but as a book in it own right, it was enjoyable and had the old-timey, time travel in a stately home that seems to mesh so well with classic story telling. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys children’s classics!
