This was a lovely little story which I listened to on audiobook.
This wasn’t one of my favourite CoHo books. While some parts were quite descriptive about the characters’ feelings, I felt it was necessary to do so given the situation, which ultimately shaped the plot.
But overall, I did think it was a lovely story.
Sydney is a young woman who wants the independence of living on her own, she is most definitley not wanting to follow in her successful lawyer parent’s footsteps. She officially becomes a housemate with boyfriend, Hunter and best friend, Tori but everything changes when she finds out that Hunter has cheated on her. She is absolutely heartbroken, but she has a helping hand from the balcony boy across the block, Ridge. She ends up making her keep by writing song lyrics for Ridge and Warren’s music band. During this period, she learns a lot, not only about the people she is now living with but also herself. Things take an unexpected turn and Sydney finds herself being ‘that person’ she once was herself not too long ago. But can she make amends with the situation or does she run from it and come to realise that living solo isn’t for her?

This was another light hearted romance that hit the spot. The deaf component was an interesting perspective I had never seen before in novel. All in all a good read.

One of my all time favorite book. Period.
Maybe Someday was the second Colleen Hoover book I ever read and I couldn’t be more happier with the decision.
First and foremost, the music. I loved the lyrics in this book. Obsessed over them, and then discovered Griffin Peterson had music to go with it. Be still my heart. I listened to the soundtrack on repeat for months! I truly loved this book.
I don’t know how well this represents the deaf community as I am not personally exposed to their culture, but from a reading and entertaining standpoint, I love how Ridge was described.
I truly enjoyed the relationship building in this story, not only between leads but the side characters as well. These characters are so complex, and have such layered emotions towards each other, all of them. I loved the angst and teasing that went on. I loved the way Sydney and Ridge work together to create music that is truly beautiful when you read it and listen to it.
I cant explain why Ridge and Sydney have my heart so much, but they do. They are my absolute favorite characters in the world.

Though I feel it is controversial, I loved Sydney and Ridge’s slow burn romance. I loved Maggie as a character and appreciated she recognized Ridge’s good heart but that she was holding him back.I truly enjoyed the relationship building in this story, not only between leads but the side characters as well. Maybe someday this book will be obliterated from my brain because this was objectively bad.
