The Dixon Rules was an incredible read, it sits in the category of a “light read” for me and served that purpose well! Even with some of the intense scenes in the book, this series so far is my favourite Elle has written!
I will be counting down the days until the next book in the series!
Moderate: Physical abuse and Domestic abuse

Elle literally never misses! I honestly don’t know what she’s putting in her books but I’m always absolutely hooked and this was no different. The tension in this one was so good it had me yelling JUST KISS ALREADY at my book more than once. I think this is also the funniest series that Elle has written because just like the previous book, I found myself laughing out loud so many times while reading. I adored the quirky little neighbourhood they lived in and the hilarious housing association meetings and grumpy downstairs neighbours, they stole the show.
Elle also seems to be pushing the boat out a little with her spice and given that the next book is going to be a throuple by the looks of it, she’s planning on pushing it out even further. I’m not sure that I’m enjoying Elle’s new spicy vibe as much as her previous books but this was still really hot.
Lastly, this book was unexpectedly emotional. I did not expect to find myself absolutely bawling my eyes out while reading an Elle Kennedy book but that just goes to show Elle and do it all!
I would recommend it if you love a whole lot of sexual tension, a good laugh and steam so steamy it’ll make you blush.
