Quick and fun read.
Definitely worth the 99p I paid for it.
The premise was great and the story moved at a quick pace.

The Venue is like if your favorite summer slasher was a book not a movie.

My first two star rating of the year. I liked the premise of this one, and I think it would make a really fun slasher film, but this book never really took off for me.
I wish we'd found out more about Caleb and Lillith, especially Lillith. She just generally came across as a psychopath whereas Caleb came across a little be more complicated. Their relationship seemed very hard to get as well, and I wish there'd been more from their POV so the reader could have got inside their heads a bit more.
The book starts off well and I enjoyed the build up of tension as the wedding has this odd atmosphere. The rest sort of fell flat for me though to be honest. Which is a shame because I read In My father's Basement and it was a much better book.
