So I didn't move while reading this book. Like at all, my legs are asleep from the weird way I was sitting. That's only happened with a few books. And I absolutely love it. It had me completely compelled. Start to finish. Matt holy balls Sky was amazing! And completely H.A.W.T. And there's more?? Yes please! Great read that I highly recommend.
The writing style is like the style 17 year olds use to write Twilight fan fictions. No plot? Literally just smut, the bad kind.
I have no freaking idea what this book is all about until I started reading it! Yes, I did not read the freaking synopsis! A friend recommended this to me with these words, "It's 50 shade of Grey-ish"... And since I adore Christian Grey and his my 1st ....uhmm, book bf...1st hot book bf ?! Well, you know, nothing beats our firsts! Haha. Let's just say, after 50 shades... I'll never be the same "innocent" Billie again. Haha.
So, I read it... My gosh! It was.. It was... I am completely lost for words! Night Owl ( his Skype name?) or Matthew Sky Jr. ( his real name! ) ...will make Christian Grey look like a... Prude?! ( Is this the right term?! ) He was insanely hot! Imagine, Like all-hotness CG but also a VERY good writer?! His deep words will make you feel intoxicated and leave you wanting for more? Yes, there's an air of mystery! He is M. Pierce , the best seller author but doesn't want the whole world to know!
The story begun when he met Hannah a.k.a. Little Bird online. The common factor: they both love to write stories... Anonymously which works best for reclusive the Matt. All are about to change when he accidentally saw Hannah's picture. ( thanks to Hannah's carelessness! Hah! ) He can't forget that face. It stirred something from within... desire. What seems to be an innocent chat ...turned into something sexual and it turned on Matt so much that he thinks about that encounter every waking hour..
“Night.Owl: A bathrobe...?
Little.Bird: Yes. It's a soft fuzzy blue bathrobe. Hits me about mid-thigh.
Night.Owl: Is that all?
Little.Bird: Yes.”
Not stopping there, they even do it over the phone! It was sexually charged! I was ... Whoa!!
“I'm about to talk to Matt.
I'm about to hear his voice.
I don't even know this guy.
What the hell am I doing?
He could be a psycho stalker.
We shouldn't cross this line.
I can hang up.
I can hang up now.
Yeah, I'm going to h—
"Hannah?"
I swallowed and slid down the bathroom wall.”
“He sounded sleepy.
He sounded sexy as hell.
I had the overwhelming urge to ask him to keep saying my name. Hannah, Hannah, Hannah. Help me come. Warmth bloomed between my legs.”
Again : Whoa! I can feel the atmosphere starting to change around here! ...like , how come it's getting warmer now ?! *fanning myself furiously!* I could just imagine if these two are burning the telephone lines, what more when they finally meet?! I'm sure temperature will rise a lot higher!
My guess was right! When these two finally meet? At the most ungodly hour, it's flaming desire!!! I can feel and even see the passion between them in the most graphic way! Boy! First, I was fanning furiously...then I'm blushing the deepest shade of red!
My goodness! I can't even say the "other" things they've done?! And I tried to make my Pink Blog, uhmm, NOT PG-rated or R-rated for that matter. Matt-Hannah doing it?! I was like :

...... like this in between those very... uhm, well-described scenes:

...and almost like this the entire time:

Well, did I tell you that Matt was super mysterious? Sure , he can make every girl's R-rated fantasies come true. Go ask Hannah for proof?! Or go read this book! I have suspicions that there something off about him. I get it, he's a writer... so he is moody.. mercurial.. go figure. But there's something deeper than that! And yes, I was glued to every pages.... until the epilogue! Wha--what? Di--did I missed something? I tried to reread the last chapter.... No... nothing to answer my questions! What did just happened? I was.. I was... I don't know what to say?! But maybe these words are sufficient enough : " M. Pierce, @%@?!! ( so close to cursing! Oooops?! Haha!) , you just made me one impatient woman! " NEED.TO.KNOW.WHAT.WAS.THAT.
I'll be keeping an eye on you , M. Pierce! Looking forward for my Matthew Sky Jr fix soon? Ooh, please don't say ...WAIT.

Started reading this last night and thought it was ok. Then I woke up this morning angry at the book, hating Matt and how he treated Hannah. How cold he was, and the fact that he was cheating on his girlfriend didn't help.
Found nothing likable about Matt, and his phone sex with Hannah was a huge turn off. Sad I bought this book cause the positive reviews make it sound really good!

The synopsis had me fooled.
I thought this book was going to be similar to 50 Shades (and mind you I didn't enjoy that book too much) but the whole story went down the toilet so quick you couldn't even say "what the fuck."
I'm just so frustrated because the story didn't make sense from the beginning. Matt sees Hannah's profile picture, enlarges the photo and conveniently his penis is enlarged. Can you guess what he did next? Oh yeah, he totally jerked it while she rubbed one out. They had cyber sex in Chapter One. CHAPTER ONE. Apparently there wasn't enough time to allow the reader to learn about the characters -- the author just skipped right to third base.
I made it to Chapter Three and I had to stop. They had phone sex in Chapter Two. I'm pretty sure I can guess what happens in Chapter Three.

"Don't give me that look. I'm trying to teach you this mysterious skill, one that you seem to lack. It's called how to say goodbye."
I smiled and rubbed the back of my neck.
"What are you grinning at?" she asked.
"I never want to", I said.
"What? Never want to what?"
"I never want to learn how to say goodbye."
It's a love story, Hannah."
"How does it end?"
Matts gaze was suddenly inscrutable. He hiked up my skirt and lifted me. I wrapped my legs around his waist.
"It never ends", he said and carried me out of the office.

You can't end a book like that! I need part two!

This has to be one of the most unique stories I've read this year. Loved the plot, the twists and turns and the characters, even if I was left a little confused by the ending. Cannot wait to read the next book.
5 Stars.
5 Stars.
Hannah Catalano's life is not what she'd hoped. Her job and her relationship are, to put it nicely, lacking, and she's ready to pick up and move home. Matt Sky is, well, quirky. The reclusive author of best-selling books, he'd rather hang out with his pet rabbit than people. Which he does. A lot.
At first glance, you couldn't find two people with less in common than Hannah and Matt. But when they become partners in an online writing venture, they find that they are increasingly drawn to each other, spending more and more time getting to know each other as they write their story. As fate would have it, when Hannah moves back to her hometown, they discover that they are virtually neighbors. And so begins a very interesting relationship...
'Night Owl' is one of those books that just grabbed me and would not let go. I honestly did not know what to expect when I picked it up, but, once I did, I could not put it down. Hannah and Matt are such unique and well-written characters. Watching the evolution of their relationship was almost painful at times, because they are just so awkward in the way that they deal with each other. Hannah is by no means the typical ingenue, but Matt's innate arrogance (because, let's face it, he's darned brilliant) makes her seem it. I found myself alternately disliking him intensely and wanting to grab him and kiss him. Add to the mix the freaking fantastic cliffhanger at the end, and this made for one of the most unusual and awesome books that I've read this year. Five plus stars, for sure, and, please, M.Pierce, whoever you are, hurry up with Book 2!
