It took me a year, but I finally finished this book!
They definitely dragged the last three books in the series out by giving unnecessary characters povs and side quests that could have been shortened.
Tharix is such an interesting character I would love to see him get his own series.
Also, the idea of bringing the dead characters back to live to fight in the war reminded me of naruto shippuden. Except I don’t like how the authors went about it here. Like it would have been nice to actually see the dead characters interact with the lives one. Like after Seth’s whole wolf pack and parents died and then got brought to live why didn’t we get to see Seth’s parents talk to him. And Diego came back it would have been nice to see him and Darcy interact they were close friends. One thing they at least did right was have the twins interact with their parents. The concept was great but the execution was done poorly.

AHHH! All the death and anguish was so worth it!! The last like 5 chapters make up for all the hurt. To see everyone's lives come full circle and to see the healing and love just grow is just perfection! Lionel is dead, they got to hug their momma, everyone is happy. This leaves me at peace.

Finally! I finished the series!
What an emotional rollercoaster this has been. This was like a soap opera/reality tv/CW show wrapped up into a 9 book series (more than that if you count the novellas). Excessive twists and turns but at least it had a worthwhile ending.
I am glad I took the plunge, just be mindful of the investment in time/emotions if you decide to tackle this series.
