Pretty Revenge

Emily Liebert

The title says everything you need to know about this book
REVENGE
This story about a girl who by chance comes across the former neighbor who she feels ruined her life and uses this as the opportunity to try and finally seek revenge.
As the story unfolds you really see two very fleshed out characters that leaves you pretty conflicted. (Kinda lol)
The story had more heart than I was expecting so I fully enjoyed it!

ending wrapped up too neatly. decent story but something missing.

I expected a lot more from this. Slightly disappointing.

Fun quick read

I liked this book, although it is more contemporary fiction with a revenge twist than a thriller. It is The Wedding Planner meets Revenge (tv show). Both female characters are somewhat sympathetic at the end but it's easy to also dislike them at different points in the book. It was a fast, enjoyable free read thanks to my public library.

Kerrie is out of work and not happy with her relationship. She will never forget the one thing that happened in her life that changed everything for her... It all traces back to Jordana.

Unlike Kerrie, Jordana has it all. She’s happily married and wildly successful. She also has a closet full of secrets, of which Kerrie is aware.

If you love a revenge story, this one is for you! It’s addictively readable, compelling, with twists and turns. I loved hearing from both Kerrie and Jordana because it amps up the tension and suspense.

I’ve read and loved Emily Liebert’s other books, but her first thriller is a fun, a touch campy, and an entertaining success and perfect for those beach totes!

I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

A very short summery: One night, the paths of two girls briefly crossed. Flash forward almost twenty years .... one woman consumed with revenge, comes up with a plan to destroy the other’s life.

This was a binge read for me where, for a change, both women are fairly likable, but conflicted. Unfortunately I was surprised at how underwhelmed I was when the secrets are revealed.

Old wounds reopen with a vengeance in the latest from Emily Liebert, an irresistible page turner set against the glamorous backdrop of moneyed New York. Pretty Revenge twists its way through a riveting tale of blame and obsession, where revenge isn’t as neat or pretty as it seems. The perfect summer beach read.

Wow! This book really kept me on my toes. I haven't read a book from this author before this but I am seeing that will need to change.
