Tremendisimo final. Nunca vi el anime, y no creo que lo vea solo por la extrema sexualización en momentos innecesarios (vi los primeros 2 episodios cuando empecé a leer el manga), pero el manga es una joya de la ciencia ficción y literatura fantástica.

That was quite a huge weight lifted off my chest—still, I think I need some time alone with my mind.

I will do my best. I will find my own path. It may be rough and winding... with driving wind and rain... and somedays may be freezing cold... but I know the sun will light the way.

Also, I love how it was endless nothingness when Shinji wished to relieve the world of its suffering. And when he took everything back to protect humanity's happiness, the transformed Rei bursts out to be scattering, showering snow (symbolizing loneliness, if not isolation or grief) like it takes feeling sadness to get to know happiness. After all, the sun will always push its way in, even in the tiniest hole of an abandoned, dark, gloomy room. My god, I'm crying once again. It was just so poetic, I love Shinji's dramatic voice and the final sequence just grips your heart and really makes you feel something. I expected it to be brutal and disgusting but I was really shocked at how it turned out. I just love this. It's really something. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (co-creator of the animated series and author of this manga series) really did a great job in giving his personal view of the story.

And I remember getting so furious with Commander Ikari on the previous volume, but what do you know, even his death literally made me cry... especially his conversation with Yui. That was just so tragic.

Also, I loved how it completely trashed all my theories. It was unbelievably unexpected (lol, the first death still made me furious, and yea, I never saw the anime. I might check it out but not today...) but I enjoyed everything, although I seriously needed to stop for a couple of hours to regain my damaged soul like Asuka.

I liked this a lot! I enjoyed the visuals but I didn’t really understood the ending.
