A seriously messed up family. An unreliable narrator. A story that just makes you question everything. I love books like this. I really liked the way the story unraveled the mother and we got to see just exactly what a narcissistic personality is like from beginning to end. I didn’t know what the ending had in store, but I knew it was going to be something turned on it’s head. Fun journey- I recommend!

Usually I am a pretty quick reader, but this was a head book to finish. I wasn't crazy about most of the content or issues in the story. It just wasn't my style. I wouldn't recommend it myself.

Stuck between 2 & 3. Delusional. Meh

Holy heck. Did NOT see any of that coming. This book is full of twists and kept me guessing until the very end

Two girls, Emma and Cass, disappear in the night and then Cass appears back home three years later what a strange story of abduction. A mother with narcissistic personality, two fathers with distinct personalities, a controlling stepbrother and the sexual poweress of teen years, all boil into a dysfunctional drama. The writing was rather confusing as the narrator would constantly switch back and forth in time. Plus, it was obvious that Cass was lying but the reader needs to muddle through the end to figure out what really happened to the two girls.
