Second in the duology and wraps up the story after the first ended in a cliffhanger. Much pacier than the first, but maybe a bit less character development for the supporting cast. I found it funny; lots of 2010s and 2020s references.

There are two storylines tied together - how to get the Dark Lord's hordes and the humans to leave each other alone, and then how to figure out why Davi is stuck in a time loop - can she end it and REALLY win? Needed to concentrate on the explanations but much simpler than some other books I have been trying to understand lately!

Davi is just as charming of a narrator as the first book. A wonderful twist villain though I would've liked more set up from the first book since it leads so seamlessly into this one. Incredible supporting cast with wonderful betrayals and plotting and laughing together. Glad Davi is finally free to live in the mountains with Tsav
