I don't have a review per se , seeing as there wasn't really any story being told. I did make a couple of highlights while reading this book and noting them here:
I quoted a Sanskrit shloka my grandfather had taught me when I was six years old: ‘O God, I don’t need a kingdom nor do I desire to be an emperor. I don’t want rebirth or the golden vessels or heaven. I don’t need anything from you. O Lord, if you want to give me something, then give me a soft heart and hard hands, so that I can wipe the tears of others.’
... in the Bhagavad Gita where Krishna says, ‘Atma aiva hi atmano bandhu aatma aiva ripu atmanah’.
God is considered to be an omnipotent friend—someone who is approachable and whom we can speak to at any time and anyhow we choose. These (folklore) tales are meant to bring out the human side of the Lord, while retaining the devotion towards him.
Who says money is the ultimate goal of life? It isn’t. You will find out when the time is right.
One of life’s goals is the ability to understand human nature and raise a fellow being from rock bottom to becoming a useful member of society. We all lose a few battles in our lives, but we can win the war. There’s always hope!
My first read by Sudha Murty was "How I Taught My Grandmother to Read " which was a part of my English syllabus in school.
In three thousand stitches Sudha Murty recalls different events of her life from the beginning days of her life to recent years.
You will get different glimpses of her life here which are inspiring and motivating.
Now I'm just eagerly waiting to get the other books by her and start reading.

Most of the stories are heart touching and motivational. I got an idea about the role of Infosys as a company for the betterment of human life. Sudha Murthy is an absolutely woman but still managed to wrìte so many books which is incredible.

“We all lose a few battles in our lives, but we can win the war.”
A collection of real life stories which inspire you. A good short non-fiction.
“Confidence doesn’t mean that everything will go our way. It simply gives us the ability to accept failures that we will inevitably meet on our path and move forward with hope.”
