A lighthearted and easy (for the most part) story, full of adventure, drama, and love.

this was fine. i was looking for an audiobook series on kindle unlimited that would be an easy listen, and that's exactly what i found. i like the premise - women goes on couples retreat alone after her fiancée breaks off the engagement. meets and falls for the rugged and handsome guide. INSTANT connection.
i think tanner and sybil had decent chemistry but i certainly felt it was lacking the extreme desire or connection that comes along with insta-love. i mean, life changing decisions were made within weeks of knowing one another and i guess i just couldn't understand WHY all of that needed to happen rather then them just...being together?
i'll continue in the series, but this is definitely a forgettable romance.

This started out great. I loved the way Tanner and Cybil first meet and it has a few of my favorite tropes:
Small town, forced proximity and a hint of forbidden romance.
The first half off the book took place on a wilderness retreat. I loved the scenery of it and the group they were travelling with, they really brought the story to life!
There was enough tension between the main characters and funny moments to keep me going.
Unfortunately it was very insta-love, which I guess explains the title but is something I don’t really like.
Next to that the second part of the book is after the retreat and even though this is where we get some fun smutty scenes, the story lost me.
It kind of felt like it would never end..
All in all it’s a pretty cute book, it’s just not my cup of tea.

Une petite romance de village sympa que j'ai lu d'une traite =)
Les différents personnages sont attachants (j'ai hâte de revoir les personnages secondaires dans les prochains livres !) et, même si j'aurais aimé plus de dramas (notamment avec l'ex mais aussi avec les braconniers !), j'ai beaucoup aimé cette romance légère !
Bref, si vous avez envie d'un peu de légereté, à lire !

The different characters are endearing (I can't wait to see the secondary characters again in the next books !) And, even if I would have liked more dramas (especially with the ex but also with the poachers !), I have loved this light romance a lot !
In short, if you want a little lightness, read it !
