Rushed had been on my KU TBR for a while and I picked it because of the audio narration. I really, really wanted to love this book, and at first I thought maybe I would. But unfortunately I didn't. I'm not a fan of instalove at all and this is VERY instalovey and there is also a big troupe I hate in there, which I saw coming but was still annoyed by. I did enjoy the found family, and this book does do so many things I like in romance. It was steamy, and Tanner was very sweet (the constant calling her sunshine drove me nuts though). All in all I would definitely read from this author again. In fact there is a second book coming and I will pick it up, just not right away.

This was a good light-hearted book. There was some things though that just bugged me. She went on a solo couple retreat but ended up sharing a tent with the instructor - she paid for two spots he should have had his own tent but I understand that wouldn't have worked for it or given us the one bed trope. Instalove is a bit annoying but glad to see it was pushed. The poachers was too much.
Maybe it’s just covid brain but.. this book? Wasn’t it

One- listen to this on audio, you won’t be disappointed.
Two- Just go in with no expectation except vibes.
It’s insta love and it’s not a literary masterpiece but it was a few hours of swooning, kicking my feet and good ol escapism.

Short, small town romance. Very cute. Feels very domestic, if that makes sense? Like the problems they face are very real life, it all just felt real. I really loved the moment when Cybil tried to break it off with Tanner (because she said they wouldn’t work together since they live in different states), and he was like uh, try again.. we’re not breaking up, we’re gonna figure this shit out together. He faced all of their issues head on and never gave up, and I really liked that.

i would not have finished this book if i had not been listening to the audiobook. the audiobook however was entertaining enough and i liked that the male main character had a little southern twang lol. will probably hate listen to the rest of this series. it's poorly written but i have been enjoying rolling my eyes and laughing about the female main character bursting into tears again and again for no reason.
