This book was sent to my by the publisher as an archive paperback. I really enjoyed the book it had great pacing. Loved the fmc and how strong she was but not to the point that she knew when she needed help. It was the perfect mix of magic and murder mystery. Great light read to end the year with.

I did t know what to expect with this book but I was pleasantly surprised. Murder mystery, magic, fortune all mixed to make a great who dun it.
Tabatha loves the occult and has had the privilege of being the apprentice to Sorcerer Solomon the top sorcerers around with a skill for fortune telling. The problem is he has predicted his own death. “By the hand of his most beloved.” When Tabatha comes to the house and finds him murdered and she’s one of the main suspects, she must clear her name and find out what the truth really is.

I really enjoyed the mystery and it kept me guessing the whole time. The romance was also great and the underlying themes of meeting family expectations was also interesting.
