Rien de bien transcendant. Aucun poème n’a retenu mon attention.
I’m very in between a rating for this. I’d say I’m at a 3.5/5 stars but I didn’t know of which spectrum of give it a 3 or 4 stars. I’m going with 3 just because I can’t decide.
For me I didn’t connect with the hurting section Because I’ve been very lucky in life to not have experienced abuse and to have a great pair of loving parents.
I feel like I’d have connected more to the loving section if I was in that type of place in my life. The self love is great and I agree to that.
For me I felt more connection to the third and fourth parts, Breaking and Healing. I could see myself more in those places with her poetry.
I loved the style of her work. Yes it was very much so broken up sentences but I didn’t mind that whole thing. Poetry isn’t supposed to always be seen as poetry that we read in class where it’s a lot older and harder to get. Here it’s more simple and it’s easier to have the point be made.
